One-Dimensional Compressibility and Creep Characteristics of Unsaturated Compacted Loess Based on Incremental Loading and Constant Rate of Strain Methods

In engineering practice, unsaturated compacted loess is often utilized as a filling material in the regions. The inevitably undergoes one-dimensional compressibility and creep deformation due to long-term effects of upper soil layers buildings. When large enough, it tends damage buildings threaten safety. this regard, properties based on incremental loading (IL) constant rate strain (CRS) methods have been studied. First, materials with an initial moisture content 15% were prepared then into samples 80 mm diameter 10 height.
